Shirley Blake is one of six selected artists to be featured in a curated show titled, "Opposite Attract" at the Marco Island Center for the Arts, Marco Island, FL. Artists are participating as "paired collaborators." One artist works realistically while the pair has an abstract painting suggesting the same topic. The paintings are displayed together to allow the viewer to have two versions of the subject or idea. The show is beginning Oct. 7, 2019 and continues through the month to the Nov. 5, 2019. The show reception will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2019 from 6-8 pm.
